Hello you. I'm David Kidd and Backstrip is my game development studio.

I've had several lives and game development is my most recent and current. It's possible we've crossed paths elsewhere, for I do get around a bit. I've studied psychology and information science and worked as a lecturer at University of Technology Sydney. I've also worked as a drug counsellor, a concept developer for a book publisher, a journalist for a surprisingly long amount of time, and a magazine editor. My favourite was that time I worked with very old, very delicate maps at the NSW State Library.

Now it's game development, and I enjoy it more than all those things. Unlike my other company, Screwfly Studios, Backstrip is a solo endeavour. Here you'll find my commercial games, experimental projects, articles and whatnot. I'll try to stay on topic, but you and I both know that's not going to happen.

I might like to work with you on something but I don't know who you are. You can change that by sending me an email or following me.
