The World Just Got A little Better

Google just slid its tentacles into the annals of civilization and ripped out a gem of human knowledge: the entire back catalogue of Popular Science (from 1872 - 2008), free, searchable, and hyperlinked.

Wow.

Google has also indexed a ton of other magazines, and will eventually fold the results into the search engine proper. From the official announcement:

Over time, as we scan more articles, you’ll see more and more magazines appear in Google Book Search results. Eventually, we’ll also begin blending magazine results into our main Google.com search results, so you may begin finding magazines you didn’t even know you were looking for. For now you can restrict your search to magazines we’ve scanned by trying an advanced search.
